I’m tired of the old shit, let the new shit begin

So, it’s been a while. There’s been far too much going on in-game update this out-of-game, but I think I’m almost finally caught up there.

So, what’s been happening dince my last update?

• I’ve led raids with varying degrees of success.

So, yeah, my first outing as raid leader was a complete disaster as you might have guessed by the entry below. My cable modem packed in, meaning I couldn’t get online. No raid for me that night. On my second night, half my healers were suddenly ill, so we couldn’t get past Moroes with the few people that were available. Disappointing isn’t the start of it. Things have taken off a bit since then, though:

• Nightbane, Prince Malchezzar and Terrestian Illhoof all killed

So that at least was enjoyable. Prince and Illhoof went down on the same night, and Nightbane two days after. Everyone in the guild who was involved in any way deserves a huge pat on the back for that, and my applause. Thanks for making it two great nights in a week, guys. let’s keep at it!

• My warrior hit 70

Yay. So I’ve been learning end-game tanking. It’s getting easier, but there’s still a long way to go. Hopefully the people that I’ve run with will agree that I’m not terrible at least. As always, more practice needed. And more gear, which comes with more practice.

• My first time tanking in Karazhan

Scary stuff. Having to learn all the things that the other guild tanks have learned before took a bit of doing (and I apologise for those who I wasn’t quick enough to get proper aggro on the Valets with, who therefore went splat). As a fury / prot offtank, I had a horrific time building enough threat on Moroes so that didn’t go so well. We were getting there in the end, so I expect we’ll manage it soon. Still disappointing though.

Anyway, hopefully I’ll update again sometime soon. Things to come:

• Zul’Aman (Coming soon-ish to a patch near you)
• Gruul, if we can ever get enough people to log on at the same time
• The endless Quest for the Shield that (supposedly) drops in the Shadow Labyrinth
