You face not just Malchezzar, but the axes he commands!
June 20th, 2007 Posted in Bosses, Burning CrusadeSo our progression continues. And we faced not just Malchezzar, but the legions he commands. And we lost repeatedly. It strikes me that a lot of him is down to luck on infernal placement, and lots of dps during the last phase of the fight. The first bit of that annoys me somewhat, but at least now we know what to do given any location he can land.
Best try was at 5%. Not bad given the group makeup (2 rogues and a shaman perhaps not the best given the running in and out of shadow nova that goes on). Replace one of them with, say, the warlock that’s nigh-on necessary for Illhoof and we’d probably be laughing. We’ll get you next time…
There’s a video of one of our recent downings of Curator here (XviD required). Aran will follow shortly once I’ve sorted some better music.
In other news, the attunement requirements for half of the end game have been removed in almost their entirety. I’m not surprised at that – they locked far too many people who don’t raid all day and night out of the content and so it’s not too much of a shock that people too one look and decided they’d be better off doing something else instead. I doubt I’d have time to finish the Trials of the Naaru, so anyone who plays less than me was evidently going to have issues ever getting the time to get there. I think Blizzard has learned the hard way that keeping the customer satisfied is the only way to keep the subscriptions rolling in. Hopefully we’ll see more and more accessible content before too long.
