June 11th, 2007 Posted in UncategorizedAran dead. And I’m liking the fights in Karazahn more and more (though Aran’s trash is still annoying). Aran’s a welcome relief after the Curator, who seems more like a raw DPS fight than anything requiring a particular amount of skill.

Gratz on Aran!
Curator is a very DPS, nuke him down kind of thing. We struggled the other week just because we didn’t have our usual imba DPS group.
Aran is kind of fun, and now you’ve got him the first time he becomes a lot easier.
We cleared Kara for the first time last week, which was pretty amazing, we had wiped on both Netherspite and Nightbane over evenings before, but we managed to do them both in one evening which was great. Prince is still going to be a toughy, it’s luck based on where the infernals drop, which is annoying.
And hooray for you guys, ‘cos you can just hop-skip and a jump to chess and get free epics! And transferring up to Aran’s room makes things *so* much easier too

Actually we’ve been farming Chess ever since our first Curator kill
We usually down Curator, clear up to chess and then get Aran.
It gives a maximum epics-per-time ratio. Then depending on respawns / time we can either have a couple of goes at Prince, or go back to him the next time. Chess is a decent break between Aran’s trash and the jester himself.
