A Reunion of Sorts

At the top of the tower

Last night, probably for about the first time in about a month, I ran Karazhan. It was awesome. Yes, the run took longer than I’d usually spend there, but I wasn’t running for the loot or the badges, or anything else. I was running it for the company.

Old-skool DCE were reunited for an evening, and it was like we’d never been apart. Since the guild split we’ve all gone our seperate ways and done our seperate things. Some of us have gone down the PvP route, some uber-casual, and some of us are raiding in the big time. Just to be together again with all the old faces was ace, and the fact that we were there just to have a good time, no pressure, no need to perform at the top of my game was a refreshing change. Lots of messy pulls, but no-one died, we just sat back, drank beer and had a laugh, aided by [item]Papa Hummel’s Old-Fashioned Pet Biscuit[/item] and a haphazard approach to pulling (Curator plus his last trash pack? sure. Netherspite down with three of the raid dead? Why the hell not!)

I’m sure we’ll do it again, certainly everyone said they enjoyed it. Next: 12-man Magtheridon? :-)

With each run of Kara my enjoyment shifts more from the content of the game to the sharing of the experience with my in game friends.
